Matt has been involved in the entertainment industry for over 25 years. From his start in middle and high school and into his college years, Matt landed his first job in the professional theatre world as the master electrician at the Fulton Opera House now known as the Fulton Theatre in his hometown of Lancaster, PA. While only there for a short time, Matt made numerous connections and really got his foothold in the entertainment community.

From there Matt moved on to be the technical director at his former high school. For seven years he worked and taught students about lighting, sound and set construction while managing two theatre spaces on campus. This is where his passion for working with students, teaching and designing took shape.

Through his time working at the high school, Matt developed more relationships that ultimately lead to his next job, which was at a reginal production company to which he spent 18 years. Matt started as the lighting department lead which led to him wearing many more hats. While maintaining the lighting department, he advanced into rigging, design, installation and sales work as well. All during this time, Matt continued to work for various high schools, lighting their shows and helping to embrace technology all while feeding his passion for educating young technicians and designing.

In 2023, Matt moved to Philadelphia to become the production technical supervisor at a large regional, self-producing theatre, where he continued his work in helping to integrate new technology and lighting mainstage shows.

Matt has a wide range of skills including, but not limited to, lighting design, integration, automation, rigging, audio, video and AVL system designs.
